F1 2010 Corrupt data codemasters

So, i had the dreaded message yesterday and now my dilemma is do i patiently wait for a possible fix in an update or throw away hours and hours and start again.
i was only only on monaco but to me each race weekend is a good four sometimes five hours of work .
(did the r&d in monaco no probs but on the lap after i accidently blocked webber and i was given a five place grid drop, so i quit to the paddock to get away with the penalty-thats where the corrupted data problem lies)

would really appreciate the codemasters representatives opinion.

If you are using a PC then it is wise to backup your "saved game" folder every time before you start the game.
I would imagine that any fix Codemasters come up with will be to prevent the files becoming corrupted - unfortunately not to recover the corrupted file
