CPU Usage with a Non-Force Feedback Wheel

I have a non-force feedback wheel (TSW Evolution).
I see in the HUD, that there are range indicators for ABS, TC, and FFB showing when those forces are being applied.
Because the FFB indicator is active and showing varying amounts of force, is it still drawing computer resources even though I don't have a FFB wheel?
If so, is there a way to disable FFB in order to gain a few FPS?

It's something I've always wondered about in other sims, but have never asked.

Thanks for any information, and please, don't turn this into a "you need to have a FFB wheel" :)

The physics are computed regardless if your wheel supports FFB or not. The only difference you should be seeing in performance between FFB wheel and non-FFB wheel should be the wheel driver overhead.
