CSL Elite LC no response on brake?

Some of you might be familiar with my previous post about the standard CSL Elite pedals (no load cell). I've upgraded to LC, which has solved the previous problem. That is the throttle and clutch (which was previously a brake) no longer have the deadzone issue.

However, I have no response when I press the brake. The manual calibration screen doesn't detect it and I can't use it in games either. I have no idea what could be a problem since the pedals where detected automatically when plugged in and the latest version of drivers has been downloaded automatically (1.9 I believe). Do I need to do something else or is it a faulty unit? I'll do more investigation once I get home to exclude connection problems.

Yeah, everything seems to be arranged the way it should be, except the brake pedal doesn't register any input. When I get home I'll try to remove and install the drivers from scratch.

Update: I have a damaged cable. I'm not sure if this happened at factory, in transit or when I was putting the pedals together. I'm gonna email fanatec and find out what can be done about it.
