Cursor disappears in photo mode and doesn't come back

I have encountered several times this annoying issue that after completing a race, in replay photo mode the mouse cursor disappears and doesn't come back. I can use esc to return to the post-race screen, but I can't press the restart, replay, quit buttons without the mouse cursor. So I have no choice but to open task manager and close AC. It's really annoying even though it happens after completing the race it means the results won't be saved.

Any suggestions what to do about it? I'm using CM, CSP, Sol. Issue has persisted over numerous updates of them all.
