Custom Championship - Is it worth the effort?

I have a bunch of racing sims, but I haven't invested a lot of time on rF2.

I'm trying to create an offline championship, preferably with multiple car classes. Either GT3 and GT4, or touring cars.

I've read that creating a championship on rF2 is not simple and requires a bit of work.

Before I learn how to do it, I'm keen to hear from you to see whether the experience is worth the effort. Or am I better off doing in another sim such as AC.

Bonus points if anyone can point me to the best guide/tutorial to follow.

On steam in the Community Guides section, there are how-tos for doing what you want. I have two championships that I do now...one for Formula E and one for Endurance, which is mixed class. I don't find it difficult at all. I went as far as to redo the mas vehicle files so I could use driver names that I wanted rather than default ones.
