As both are fully possible for all settings ... I don't see a real difference mostly.... and sometimes cannot recognize them except by their order when toggling between views 
Only use the original settings or keep an obvious difference for those views in this case can easily make a difference between them.
Moreover both views accept the use of TrackIR.
Finally it's just a question of personal choice. Having the car motec visible has an advantage: less hud needed in the way as you already can see what you need.
