PC2 Demo: Can't get past 5th gear in FR3.5 on red bull ring

Hi,

After a while away from simracing I bought a wheel (G29) and am trying Project Cars 2 demo. It looks and runs nice, but my FR3.5 is very slow it seems on the straights. I come only up to 5th gear. I lowered final driver and geart ratios, but there's almost nothing you can change there. Am I missing something? How can I check my pedals are OK? The calibration of pedals only asks me to depress them and nothing else.

Maybe you adjusted the gear ratios the wrong way. In Project CARS 2, you need to increase your final drive ratio to decrease your top speed.

There's only 2 settings for each gear and for the final gear and they don't make a big difference. I followed the advice of the race engineer, but no luck. Are you getting to 6th gear easily?

I selected 3.50 final drive ratio and get into 6th at the end of the straight, and that's without using DRS.

You can check your pedals are ok using the HUD.(the green bar)

I saw that video too, he is a long time in 6th gear. I use 3.5 too but don't get to 6th gear at all. I am using default setup, maybe that's crazily bad?

The default setup shouldn't be a problem. You could also try checking your inputs in the telemetry HUD:

The default setup does have longer gearing meaning you don't need 6th at this track. I also suspect he doesn't know the car has DRS.
