DiRT Rally 2.0 DiRT 2.0: Yas Marina WRX Released

Codemasters have released the impressive looking Yas Marina Rallycross Circuit for DiRT 2.0.

Available now across all release platforms, the Abu Dhabi Yas Marina Circuit is a new World Rallycross venue that made its debut in the FIA World Rallycross Championship this season.

Developed as part of the Yas Marina Formula One circuit complex, the track features a difficult and technical layout, with some interesting corner combinations that look likely to provide a challenging experience for the DiRT 2.0 players who purchase the track.

Available as either a standalone DLC for around £2.99, or is accessible as part of the various Delux / Season Pass options for the title, the track has been made available earlier today and should be available to purchase the next time players fire up their copy of the title.

Next up for the DiRT 2.0 DLC release schedule will be the Peugeot 206 Rally and VW Golf Kitcar, both due to be made available later this month on October 22nd.

And here's something else to disagree to:

The quote was from soon to come (oh thank Lord, finally) MFS 2020 but it's something that can be easily said for DR2 too. DR2 does look pretty but seems to be less and less actual rally.
Fast forwarding to near future - we won't even need Dirt Rally, because we'll have it all in (a regular) DiRT. An unavoidable combo.
 
Yas Marina is great, from Fiesta Mk8 to the very oversteery Delta S4 (now with 600HP thank you) doing donuts. I do not understand the complaints.

I've never driven a Delta S4 or a Fiesta RX irl, but who has overhere?

DR2.0 is just a very solid rallygame with excellent physics on gravel/snow/ice and good physics on tarmac.

I do driftdays and trackdays irl for over 15 years. FWIW!

That's great but there are few of us band of rally brothers who you know...
prefer actual good old, raw, with long history sport called rally. Just rally.
Not "rally"CROSS or doing (I prefer eating them) (meaningless?) doughnuts. :unsure:

I just don't see your point, after 3 attacks on Dirt from various angles, seems you just want to throw some argument and test if it works.

Driving rally car on rally stages in DR2.0 is way better detailed and nuanced than in WRC. Especially "long history" "raw" stuff, like historic cars. Try Stratos or Fulvia in WRC, they're broken.
Having said that, the carreer itself in WRC is great and interesting, stuff like watching the damage or tyres (hell, even the over-stiffening the suspension can cause damage caused by more wear over the stage), and driving modern WRC cars is....fine. But clocked the carreer to the the mid-wrc2+ season I just don't want to fire it up, the driving isn't natural or enjoyable enough for me. And I've seen all the locations, and mechanics of carreer that added some novelty and immersion at first, quickly got boring. A big eye opener on WRC physics flaws is actually watching the replays, there might be a chance that the physical model is simplified in replay mode, but some of car movements, like final stages of slide for example, are very unnatural.
Still love them both, the stage design + weather + maintaining the car through the stages is great in WRC.

Ok, language barrier, I'll say. Again. :D
I don't especially prefer old and historic cars I love playing as Tanak, Ogier, Loeb,... so not really affected if they "broken" or not (although I tend to believe they actually not and that that's just your opinion) BUT!, to me, cars feels better in WRC 8 than in DR 2.0. Period.

Until they're airborne, ok... then they have some out of this planet physics.
Thank god since I'm not the fastest driver out there I don't spend too much time in air. :)
And... agree with you on that last thought.
Career is much more immersive in WRC too. And that's means a lot I would say... :sneaky:

Also, it's it's much harder to finish a stage same length in WRC than DR.
That doesn't mean it makes it automatically more simulation but... when I count it all.. WRC is more sim than DR2 will ever be. Like I said somewhere before... just compare driving while brushing snow banks in both games. Not even close.

But hey, ok... this turns out to be another WRC vs DR thread.
Maybe we should stop while it's still in control. :D

Some of them are broken quite literally, I've seen Escort MK2 always scraping the surface by it's underbody from the very start of the stage (I don't have it myself, don't feel like spending on dlc for cars that are just quickly thrown together as it seems), but last time I've tested Fulvia, well apart from it drove very weird, it had inverse gearing ratio setup. Stratos... it's just weird, the way it rotates. Yes it should be snappy, and it is snappy in DR, but in a more natural way. Again, the replay especially shows some weirdness of WRC physics model, and doesn't show much weirdness in DR physics model, although one may argue that the pendulum is too much and too slow. But it's enjoyable.

But hey, ok... this turns out to be another WRC vs DR thread.

Said by person who tried to throw "BOO! WRC is better" argument 3 times, in an article completely unrelated to that comparison.

I think I do know what you mean. In my adolescense I saw gr B on my TV. I was hooked on rallying forever.
It strangely started with the Manta 400 when I was 13(?) years old. I liked the sliding of the thing. I didn't pay attention to Stratos or 037 can you imagine...
Delta S4 was my fav Gr B car, but now it's probably 6R4 because of the sound it makes.

Fast forward to 2019 (DR2.0) fav rallycar: Escort Mk2 , runner up 037 and Manta 400.

My current real life car is an M2 Comp, so I also like the car being in DR2.0 though it's way faster in a straight line than mine:)

WRC8 vs DR2.0 , I don't know WRC8, but I do know DR2.0 physics in general on gravel/loose surfaces/snow and ice are accurate, because real life experience:)
