DiRT Rally Disabling auto reset to track possible?

I tried a mod which was basically a batch file for renaming files. I used it and I couldn't see any difference: my car was back to the track automatically when I went offroad for a while. Is this possible with the latest versions of the game?

The mod I use is on RD's download section and it works perfectly fine for me.

The batch file, for some reason, was not working for me. I moved all the *.cqtc files and now the auto-reset is disabled.

You just have to delete all the reset*.cqtc files found in the tracks folder. Then, you can drive everywhere and the car will not be automatically reset to the track. Of course, if you drive beyond certain limits, you will fall into the abyss, but you can recover your car manually.
