Downloaded cars / tracks not working in AC

I didn't see anywhere that this was solved, but apologies in advance if I missed anything.

I downloaded some JGTC GT500 cars from Chivas, unzipped them with 7Zip and then placed them in the game folder, but when I try to start a session with the downloaded cars, the game goes back to the menu / doesn't launch.

I was given the following error code / crash log from CM:

00007FFDED49FB0C (KERNELBASE): (filename not available): RaiseException
00007FFDA6FEEF63 (MSVCR120): (filename not available): CxxThrowException

00007FFDEFFCDF78 (ntdll): (filename not available): RtlUserThreadStart

I verified that all files were good through Steam, as some have suggested uninstall / reinstall, so I'm not sure that's the issue.

I also tried using CM to launch and I get the same crash. CM also shows that the cars are fine when I use the "Analyze" function, and I'm able to view the cars in the showroom in the game.

I am also able to use original game cars / tracks with no issue.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Unfortunately, I don't have a solution for you. And instead I'm responding to say I have the exact same issue. Doesn't matter which car, server, track, sol setting... it just crashes. Like 1/20 launches in single player it might open, but it's super inconsistent, and I don't even know the root problem. Re-installed the game, sol, csp, and content manager, tried reverting to an earlier version of windows, ran disk checks, game varifications, etc. nothing solved it. Wondering if you ever found a solution on your own or if we just kinda stuck with super broken games. Also a little off topic but related, when I launch stages in Dirt Rally 2.0 the game crashes. Could be related the Asseto Corsa issues but idrk.
