1 pit stop is necessary, at 15 min of the 40 min race the pits open until 25 min mark.
When you enter the pits you will see the pit config (you can change tires and add fuel but you have to add "1" fuel at least to trigger the stop).
Create a pit configuration beforehand in the car setup menu to prepare the stop.
Pit speed is 80 km/h, car will slow down automatically at the white line (test it!)

So i can enter pits flat out at, let's say 180 km/h that it reduces speed automatically? Or i need to slow down to 80 km/h manually? Are there penalties for exceeding pit speed limit? Thanks!

Exactly you can do that, no penalty's but the game will slow down the car and might ruin the brakes depending on the set damage.

One more question, will we have a warning message or something that the pit window is open?

Top/middle you will see a timer showing how much time is left for the race, will switch to the pit window timer once its open.
