Easy way to change car names and manufacturers?

So I have bought a few mod cars from RSS and URD and while they are great it is a little annoying that they get put in their own made up manufacturer.

Is there an easy way to change the name of the car and manufacturer so they are in the appropriate brand?

The launcher name/manufacturer are set in ui/ui_car.json, you should paste in a matching badge.png in that folder also.

Ingame display is set in the car's data/car.ini which is not generally available to modify.

If you do a search in the RD Downloads section, you should find a few files to do what you are looking for. Just search under AC using "RSS".

If you have content manager, changing the manufacturer/badge is a matter of a few clicks. Changing the name of the car is a little more involved. I think you need to rename some files and edit a few text files.

You can easily change the name of the car with CM, just type in what you want and it appears in AC. Don´t understand why you wrote it is more involving?

Yes, with content manager, very easy, very fast. A few clicks, takes a few seconds.

go to ui_car and open with notepad. In the first lines you should find the name of the brand of the car (see the brand in cm while having the car selected) and just rename it with whichever brand you want. This worked 4 me
