according to the dirtRally page this month's update will focus on more cars. what do you think will be in it?

here is my guess:
- in all dirt titles the numbers of cars per class was more or less even
- atm we have very uneven numbers of cars per class
- it would make sense to a) fill some gaps or b) jump in with a completely new class
my guess for a)
: one more hillclimb and rally cross car each (hopefully the ekström audi in rally x)
- two more cars from the same decade as the last two ones in the finnish update (2000s?), hopefully the small peugoet piloted by gronholm and the first citroen piloted by loeb
- one more car each in two of the heavily underrepresented classes, e.g. current cars (how about the hyundai?) or rwd cars.

my guess for b)
six cars running in the erc, e.g skoda, peugoet, porsche (?) - as far as i know noone owns the erc licence yet
six historic rally cars from the 40s and 50s
six cars running in the dakar (however, one need a proper track for those things to run on ...)

It would look like we might get a...
- No Audi in RX - licensing issues.
- No HillClimb either is my guess, the pack is called "modern masters".
- The first Xsara isn't to farfetched really, the 206, I don't see that one coming.

I believe we may see one or 2 new Pikes Peak cars. Although I really want to take the M3 or Mk2 up the hill just to drift the hairpins.
Oh and the 2007 Focus WRC is confirmed to be one of the new cars, they recorded the audio for the car earlier this year too.

four cars have been made public today, update delayed till beginning of november:
R4 cars: Subaru Impreza WRX STi (the hatchback one) and Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X
2000s: Citroën C4 Rally and Ford Focus RS Rally

The existing "WRC 2000" Impreza and Focus RS are both from 2001.
The C4 WRC ran from 2007-2010, and the Focus ran from 1999-2010 and went through a complete refresh in 2003 and again in 2007. Originally from the AMD video showing the DiRT periodic table of cars, both the C4 and Focus RS were listed as 2010 class:

They will be lighter with more body changes compared to the road models, and presumably faster than the 2001 models, so I am wondering if the news page was a typo and they are indeed going to be 2010 class...

The C4 and newer Focus will be in the 2000s class. The 2010 class is for 1600 WRC cars.
Ok thanks. It makes sense to have 2 liter in one class and 1.6 liter turbos in the other. And presumably both are the 2007 spec versions.
I guess this also means there's not an intent to separate "WRC 2010's" from "WRC 2015" as two independent classes.... So to go back to speculating on the WRC 2010's class: I was assuming we'd have a class with the 1.6l turbo VW Polo, DS3, Fiesta, Hyundai i30 all present, which presumably means the existing class will be expanded in a future patch?

BUT the car wall poster showed the 2001 Focus, Imprezza WRC, Xsara in 2000 class, Mini, Focus RS WRC, C4 in 2010 class and Fiesta, DS3, Polo and i20 in 2015 class. So maybe in the future they will bump the fiest out of the 2010 class into the 1600 of 2015 and bring the C4 and RS to 2010, so it makes palce for Xsara in 2000. I hope so.
