Error Xpacker Add Cross section

Open Xpacker go directly to Cross Sections and click ADD. I get an Error and cant add a cross section

I tried it directly without creating a new xpack then I tried it after creating a new xpack. Both times I got an error. Please find 2 attached error reports and my dxdiag.

Sorry! Mis-read your post.
This would happen to me if I haven't opened or created an xPack.. and now I notice you've tried both methods.

Same here, I get this error message.

Just installed version 8.0 and tried this again.

I get the error if I go directly to the Cross-Section Tab and click Add.
If I create a new Xpack, or open an Xpack I've made previously, there is no error.

I'm on Windows XP, SP3.
