Extremely bright screen when trying to use certain PP filters

For some reason, when using certain PP filters the game would have extremely high brightness for no reason whatsoever. Adjusting the "exposure" setting in the PP filter app in game does not change anything. Here are some screenshots for comparison:

Any idea what could be causing this issue? Any fix would be appreciated.

Hi mate, did you manage to fix the problem? I’m having problems with brightness at the moment and keep having to race in overcast conditions. Playing with voa settings in pure reduced it a bit for me.

try to check sol config for brightness or the autoexposure settings in the pp file, if the ppfilter package has a csp/sol config files try to edit settings in a similar way or load them.

I have the same problem, I read on Reddit suggestion to lower glare quality in AC vanilla launcher video settings. I'll try tonight hopefully, hope it works

If you're using Pure or LCS-Pure, they are fundamentally not compatible with old pp filters. Pure comes with filters to use, or you can look for filters meant for Pure. PP Filters designed to work on the base game will usually disable autoexposure completely or give it very limited range, so it can't compensate for Pure/LCS using more realistic brightness values.
