F1 2014 F1 2014 Graphics Settings

F1 2014 The Game (Codemasters)
So the other day my cousin gave me his F1 2014 to play. I ran multiple tests to match system requirement and I was advised to play at medium settings. But then I realized during the benchmark tests, I received only 12 fps so I changed the settings to low and I was surprised that I again received 12 fps. Out of curiosity I tried the highest settings and this time it was 12 fps again.
I am very sure my computer could get more that 20+ fps considering the fact I was able to get 18 fps on my previous computer (Lenovo s20-30). So is there anything I can do to the improve my game play performance. My laptop is lenovo z560 .

Does you laptop have both integrated (i.e. Intel) and dedicated (e.g. Nvidia) GPUs? If so, perhaps optimus is nott auto-switching to the dedicated GPU when you run the game, but you can force it do so in the Nvidia control panel.

If you only have an integrated Intel GPU, good luck with that, though perhaps on newer ones you might be able to run the game.
