F1 2017 Issue with Tyre Wear

Was wondering if it's just me or does the tyre wear actually start at 1% instead of counting down - because I am using Sli Max Pro and my tyres show up red when the race starts and becomes greener as they wear.

if only codemasters got the downshift sounds right for the mp4/6 in the game, it would be such a brilliant retro mode, downshifts as they are in the game are for the cars of 1998 and 2006 etc... and not for the 1991 cars.
