F1 2019 F1 2019 DX11

Is the only way to start F1 1019 DX11 to do it from steam?
Because if I try from the desktop icon it will boot DX12

Have not tried this but the dx12 one is a separate .exe so just create a desktop icon to the dx11 instead of creating it directly from Steam

go to the game files, find the F1 2019 exe (the dx12 one is marked _dx12) and just click send to desktop
