Codemasters showed us a sneak peek at the new F1 Race Stars earlier today via the frontpage. What are your thoughts?

I think Codies wants to familiarize younger generations with the sport to increase their target audience in the long term. Also, by releasing a mass game now they potentially get more out of their license.

Someone at CM must have had an Eureka Moment and decided to mix Mario Kart with Mod Nation Racers and TrackMania

The above plus just the Formula One name is of course a guaranteed sales hit. Still think they got the inspiration of the characters from @Omer Said his RaceCarToons:

This game looks like it could be more fun than their realistic F1 2012 will be. I think I might get this one and even skip F1 2012.

This might be hugely fun and popular, if they do it right. Mario kart type of thing, with decent multiplayer, and a pinch of TF2-like humour. I'd buy it
