Fanatec CSL Elite pedels with older wheels

Does anyone know if the CSL Elite (non load cell) pedals can just plug straight into a Forza CSR or Porsche wheel using the RJ12-PS2 cable and work? I'd rather not spend $20 on the Clubsport adapter if I don't have to, just need something temporary.

If anyone else ends up searching for this same information, Fanatec confirmed the CSL Elite pedals will work with the older wheels as long as you have the RJ12-PS/2 cable (https://www.fanatec.com/eu-en/pedals-accessories/pedal-shifter-cable-2-0m-ps-2-rj11-eu.html).
