Fanatec CSR Elite Rim and Fanatec Clubsport wheel base V2

Hi peeps,

Just wondering if anyone here would know, basically i have the chance to buy a Fanatec Clubsport wheelbase V2 and have also seen a Fanatec CSR Elite rim. I am wondering if the two are compatable?

As far as I know, they are not compatible. The connection the CSR Elite uses a different connection to its base, while the CSW V2 uses Fanatec's quick release. I have no doubts that the CSR Elite rim can be rewired to work with the quick release, but the firmware is the issue. The CSW base will not recognize the wheel rim and if it does, from what Fanatec said about the CSR Elite base; the rim is not hot swappable. Maybe you can get it to work with something from SimRacingMachines but again, I'm at a loss as to what you would need to do. It would be an interesting mod though, that much is certain.
