Fanatec shifter problem.

I recently got myself a Fanatec Porsche 911 GT2 wheel which I am using without shifter or pedals directly attached. I flashed it with latest firmware with windows 10 support. The problem I have is that from time to time when I reconnect it I find that one paddle shifter selects both shifters at once and the other shifter selects a button as well. Having taken it apart and found nothing wrong I have discovered that a temporary fix is to re flash the firmware. Has anyone any ideas for a more permanent fix?

Flashed it yet again and got shifters working ok again. This time, however ALL the leds on wheel lite up during flashing - PC, PS3 and Xbox - which I don't think it did before so maybe it worked better this time. Time will tell. Fingers crossed.
