Fanatec SQ 1.5 & Raceroom Rig

Hello guys,

I have currently a pretty nice cockptit Raceroom RR3055 (like this https://www.raceroomstore.com/media.../3/_/3_game_seat_pc_bundle_1500x1000_shop.png) and i use the logitech G27 shifter.

I would like to upgrade my shifter to the Fanatec SQ1.5 BUT, i have no idea how I could mount it on my raceroom cockpit. I think about a middle plate mounted on the g27 adapter but nut sure it is a good idea. My goal is to reach this : http://www.gtitalia.it/attachment.php?attachmentid=3408&stc=1&thumb=1&d=1431268108
But wow i don't have any idea how I can fix this.

Maybe are there some brilliant guys who could help me?

The Fanatec shifter has many mounting points including a selection of pre drilled and threaded holes on the underside of the unit.

If you already have a shifter arm with a flat mount then you could just drill some holes in it to match those on the shifter base and bolt it straight on.

If the plate is to small then try cutting a piece of wood or metal the same size as the shifter and use that as the mounting plate and then either screw or bolt that to the smaller mount on the rig.

It all depends on what kind of shifter mount you already have as to what work will be required to make it fit.

Hi Jason, thx for the reply.

Today I just have a very little plate made for the G27 shifter. It is to small to welcome the fanatec so not possible to screw it.

I think I should buy a plate and fix this on the currently mount plate. But seems to be a bit difficult.

Well unless RaceRoom make a Fanatec shifter add on making your own is the only option I'm afraid.

I have made all kinds of modifications to my rigs over the years to fit various bits of sim racing kit, it's something we all go through at some point.
