2010-present, more people get points and it's more creative aswell.
I believe it's the best system so far, cause it gives the winner of a GP a good
present and the podium finisher are a bit behind. Furthermore it promotes
competition for the top 10 spots and gives small teams a chance to push for points.

Voted for top 6 cos it's the golden era system.
But if it was up to me I would mix todays scoring system (top 10) with 80's system (best 11 results counded towards Drivers Championship). Instead of best 11 I'd rais it to best 14 so that worst 5 races would not count.

I'd like to see the current system combined with the "extra point for fastest lap" one as that would imho give even drivers that fall to the back due to a puncture etc. the chance to push for some points :)

The current one is the best for current era with very few retirements. Top-5 and top-6 systems worked in their respective eras because back then there were much more retirements so it was easier to get in to the points.

Although 10-6-4-3-2-1 is my personal favourite (because I grew to it), it wouldn't work today because Mercedes, Ferrari, Williams and Red Bull would claim all the points, Toro Rosso, Sauber and Force India maybe snatching one or two during the season. Oh how I miss the days of more fragile cars and engines :inlove:

"monthly update" here:
  • 13 votes to the Top 10 - 2 more votes.
  • 11 votes to the Top 6 - 3 more votes.
  • 4 votes to the Top 8
  • 2 votes for fastest lap
  • 1 vote for Top 5
  • 1 vote for Other
Well, more votes would be great!

I do like the current system as it always gives midfield teams a chance to scrap for 1-2 points. Before if you were running 12th and had some reliability concerns, there was no incentive to continue.

Top 6, because that's how i remember F1 and it worked very well.
(stopped caring shortly after Senna's death when Bernie started destroying F1)

My heart says top 6, but my brain says top 10. Had to put nostalgia aside and vote with my brain - I think 10 points paying slots encourages more compelling midfield action and is one of the few aspects of the sport today that is good for the little guys.
