Cars Ferrari 288XX GTO Version 1.2.5

GTOfire submitted a new resource:

Ferrari 288XX GTO - fictional modern-day 288 GTO Evoluzione

This is a fictional off-shoot from the mythical Ferrari 288 GTO Evoluzione. It has the Evoluzione powertrain for almost 700BHP, but modern day GT tyres, aero and a sequential gearbox (stick sequential with no autoblipping on downshifts). It fits in a GT1 class speed wise, outperforming GTEs on raw power and weight, and GT3s on aero as well.

GTOfire updated Ferrari 288XX GTO with a new update entry:

Powertrain updated, skin fixes

- version 1.1
* Updated powertrain to match it's authentic brother, the Evoluzione, after fixing 2 small errors in there.
* Updated all skin previews to match kunos style better, such as this:

* Fixed rossocorsa skin (was accidentally duplicated with rosso competizione)

This car is now pretty much up to date as far as remaining work is concerned. The only planned update at this time is whenever I receive updated sounds from Fonsecker.

new sound, powertrain finalized

* Updated backfire intensity, cheers to GTAce for pointing out it's rather tame nature
* Included SchUPpors 288XX #36 and Thomson #89 liveries with updated previews
* Updated with the new Evoluzione sound WIP by Fonsecker, interior tuned, exterior redone significantly.
* Adjusted powertrain to be a bit smoother like it was before, while still keeping the fixes from the Evo update.

RPM gauge has been slightly off since beta 1, fixed now!

RPM gauge that was reused in all 288s turned out to be slightly off, fixed it now.

Same as the road car: if you cba downloading the whole archive, go into data/analog_instruments.ini and update the [RPM_INDICATOR]'s STEP=0.0245 to 0.025 and it'll be fixed.

V7 tyres, dash cam, new flames and driver helmet glitch fix

* New exhaust flames are significantly more flamey
* Upgraded tyres to V7
* Added dash cam
* Fixed driver not having his helmet model hidden anymore.

Your mod is still one of my favorites.

It is very fast. Faster than RSS GT1 made by Sim Race Studio.

Glad to see people are still enjoying it If it's faster than the GT1s I made it a little too fast actually, the goal was for it to be a fictional GT1 type car, but I can live with that, since no one is ever going to actually have it be eligible to join a GT1 race together with the other cars

I like the speed of the car. It is what I expect from a good GT car.
