I would love to see two of these configured to offer an approx 70-80" 32:9 aspect ratio. Even with a 1080p vertical, while limited for multitasking to the upcoming 1440p Ultrawide monitors, it would be much easier to achieve 120fps with a decent rig.

Acer have a competing product coming soon in the Acer G550 that will have similar specs. No doubt others will also follow.

I'm of the camp that feels 1080p is enough for gaming... up to a point. If you are projecting, say, a 70 or 80 inch image, wouldn't you practically need 4k resolution considering how close you will be sitting to it?

Ever since i saw some examples of using multiple projectors to create a seamless, expansive image, i thought that was the ideal. I still am open to it but it is a significant investment not only financially but in physical space required which is my main sticking point.

You also have to figure in the cost of consumables when using a projector. Those bulbs don't last forever (or even very long).

Not so much an issue now as it used to be when bulbs lasted much less.
