Cheers Tom but your system is prob better
can't wait until I see the difference in graphics

nVidia GTX680, so that's easily 200-300€ more, depending on the model. Anyway, you'll have lots of fun with your system and the graphics will be amazing.

However, if you want to feel your computer is still way too slow: fire up Crysis 2 after installing the HD textures & DX11 pack. I'm getting around 25-30 FPS on Ultra settings. :)

Really? I got more than that with my 2500k and 550 Ti than that. Surely your pc has a very weak link somewhere or something... CPU?

i7-3770.

I last tried it before sending my HDD in for RMA, so the data transfer rate may have had an effect as well. Scumbag Seagate. :(

Wow Tom, I hope you get more than that now! I have an i5 2500k@4.5ghz and a gtx 670 OC'd. I get 70+fps on those settings, thags with a bog standard 500gb HDD fom WD :D

I start thinking either the S-ATA controller or the S-ATA cable is broken as well, one of the new hard disks is pretty slow and shows UDMA CRC errors a lot. Troubleshooting shall commence tonight. :)
