Hi Guys
Since updating to the latest version of Game Stock Car with the updated shaders and skybox the Mid Ohio (Virtua_LM track) skybox was broken. For me it was just showing the night skybox complete with stars. The road was perfectly lit as if it was daytime.
Anyway I managed to fix the issue by editing the SCN file with a text editor and changing these lines
change
//-------------------------------------------------------
MASFile=Virtua_LM_MidOhio.mas
MASFile=Virtua_LM_MidOhioMAP.mas
MASFile=COMMONMAPS.MAS
//-------------------------------------------------------
to
//-------------------------------------------------------
MASFile=Virtua_LM_MidOhio.mas
MASFile=Virtua_LM_MidOhioMAP.mas
MASFile=COMMONMAPS.MAS
MASFile=CloudsMed.MAS
MASFile=SkyTropicalHaze.MAS
MASFile=Sky.MAS
//-------------------------------------------------------
then at the bottom of the file change
//-------------------------------------------------------
Instance=skyboxi
{
Moveable=True
MeshFile=skyboxi.gmt CollTarget=False HATTarget=False
Instance=Sky
{
Moveable=True
MeshFile=Sky.gmt CollTarget=False HATTarget=False
}
}
//-------------------------------------------------------
to
Instance=skyboxi
{
Moveable=True
MeshFile=skyboxi.gmt CollTarget=False HATTarget=False Render=False
Instance=CLOUDS
{
Moveable=True
MeshFile=skyboxi.gmt CollTarget=False HATTarget=False
Instance=Sky
{
Moveable=True
//MeshFile=Sky.gmt CollTarget=False HATTarget=False
MeshFile=SRPL_sky3_dome1.gmt CollTarget=False HATTarget=False ShadowReceiver=False
MeshFile=SRPL_sky3_sun1.gmt CollTarget=False HATTarget=False ShadowReceiver=False
//MeshFile=SRPL_sky3_moonwithglow1.gmt CollTarget=False HATTarget=False ShadowReceiver=False
}
}
}
//-------------------------------------------------------
You have to do this for each variation of the track but now it looks great. Hope that helps anyone else with this issue.
