Forza Motorsport 7 confirm solid list of supported equipment on PC, minimum specification PC hardware and a renewed focus on bringing the Window 10 PC Forza Experience to life..

We all know the upcoming Forza Motorsport 7 game will debut on Windows 10 PC later this year, however after hit and miss attempts with Apex and Horizon 3, Turn 10 Studios claim the PC platform is their "top priority", and as such have gone to great lengths to ensure the experience of Forza Motorsport 7 on PC is as optimised and enjoyable as possible when the game comes out later in the year.

Introducing a substantial list of supported peripherals for the new game (lesson one learnt from Apex) and with the promise of a vast improvement on performance across a number of different machine specifications (lesson two from Horizon 3), Turn 10 and Microsoft appear to be going about the business of breaking into the PC gaming world in a much more robust and organised fashion that has previously been the case. With such heavyweight rivals as Assetto Corsa, rFactor 2, RaceRoom and Project CARS all vying for the dominant racing game position, it will have to be a very strong start out of the box for Turn 10 to finally win over the sceptical sim racing PC public if FM7 is to survive past the initially curiosity stage this time around.

Showing plenty of confidence in the new product, Turn 10 have resurrected something long forgotten in the world of the modern video game industry... a demo! Yes, you heard it right, a demo for Forza Motorsport 7 on PC will be made available prior to the game launching later this year, so you will be able to try before you buy! How refreshing is that?

From the developers themselves:

"At Turn 10 Studios, PC gamers are a top priority, and as such, we have invested significant time to ensure Forza Motorsport 7 offers the best possible experience on Windows 10 PCs and is accessible to millions of more players. Together with our state-of-the art ForzaTech engine, both Forza Motorsport 6: Apex and Forza Horizon 3 helped us quickly learn what’s needed to create a successful PC racing game – such as support for a wide range of PC setups and racing wheels. Since Forza Horizon 3 launched in September 2016, we’ve continued to make improvements to the PC version of the game, with updates to the Windows 10 PC demo, that we’re also applying to Forza Motorsport 7".
Benefitting from lower system demand and "build from the ground up for Windows 10 PC's", the new title could well be that all too rare of things in the racing game world, a title that simply works out of the box.

Oh damn, and it's going to be a Microsoft Store download?:laugh::laugh:
It's not officially announced or anything but given this is Microsofts product and Forza Horizon 3 and Forza 6 Apex is on the Windows store, it will be one hell of a shockingly good surprise if it's on Steam. I think Forza 7 on steam is as likely as the release of Half-Life 3.

If You said, I dont buy it...For what the hell is second question about VR support? So...You buy or not? No...You say...hmmm...this apple is not red enough for me...Ou, is sweet or not? I hope, in this moment, You are good and fast runner...

I'm sorry, but I have no idea what your post says. Are you angry at me for wanting to use my shifter in a racing game or something? What does running have to do with anything?

I asked about VR support because that is also something important to me. It's not a deal-breaker, like the lack of shifter support is, but it would be very nice to have.

calm your tits everyone, it was said already that they support multi usb support.
-edition of new dash cam
-ps4 controller\wheels support
-hint for a demo #stay tuned
-hint for f1 car #stay tuned
-driver gear - earn over 300 racing suites and gear
-21:9 support
-wheel spins might come back #staytuned

there are still lots of things for them to do and add to the game.

If they make a public statement about increased peripheral support and don't mention at all in said release about shifters, pedals or multi-usb support, why should I waste my time digging through forums to find the information? When, as a company, you're making a big deal about all you've learned from previous releases and are supporting peripherals, you should probably mention the multi-input support along with it. That's the whole point of a press release - to release information.

That's not on me.

Can't help but notice that the Thrustmaster shifters are absent from that list.

No multiple input support means no buy from me. Full stop. All those sexy classic cars are absolutely worthless without a gated shifter.

Anyone know if it'll support VR?
Yeah, that's exactly why I inmediately quitted playing the Apex, no support for Shifter, no VR and no FOV. If those are not included in the new release then is not a buy for me.
And for the red neck whose oppinion is so zealot, I already have Assetto Corsa and Project CARS (which I am not very found of it because it was just a beta release to make money for the real game that is coming) that have all those requirements and more. Why should I buy a game (at that ourageous price) when I have already outstanding games?

there is no such statement even on Aseetto Corsa official website, and i dont ever remember reading in any sim website that it specifically supports multiple usb devices. i always remember that i had to dig around in youtube, forums, steam community to get any answer.
its frustrating your right, i hate it too and its mistake for a company not to put such information, but i guess they provide that kind of information through youtubers that have a channel dedicated to their game.
maybe its easier that way? maybe people cant be bothered going throgh **** ton of text to get the info they need in the official websites? who knows...

So , no way to get this to run on Win 7? If not.....doesn't look like I'll be playing this one for quite some time. I'm sticking with my Win 7 for a while.
Only Windows 10, only Windows Store. I think it's going to be the case for their first-party games for the foreseeable future.

As for the multi-USB device thing, it's a big deal and that should be made obvious. Does WRC have that now?

Ive been watching some videos of this title as they appear on YT.
When compared to PC2 paying specific attention to the audio it appears FM7 has very good positioning of sound and certainly better kerb noise than PC2.

This example demonstrates this rather well.

I am using Dolby Atmos for headphones via Win 10
Can be purchased on the Win10 Store but we know FM7 has been designed to utilise Dolby Atmos audio as mentioned at E3.

Even on consoles?
Uhm, I would not know. I don't own consoles. Yet, the manual states clearly:

SETUP INSTRUCTIONS FOR GAME CONSOLES
PLAYSTATION®3
= With all games for PS3™, always connect(*) the TH8A shifter directly
to one of the PS3™'s USB ports (NOT to the Thrustmaster racing
wheel's base).
- Connect the TH8A shifter's DIN connector to the DIN / USB cable.
- Connect the TH8A shifter to one of your PS3™'s USB ports.
- Start the game.
The TH8A shifter can then operate with either the H-PATTERN (7+1) or SEQUENTIAL (+/-)
shift plates.
(*) Important recommendations for the PS3™ system (applicable only if
using a Thrustmaster racing wheel featuring a built-in shifter connector)
- When using the TH8A shifter's SEQUENTIAL (+/-) shift plate, you can also connect the
shifter at the back of the racing wheel using the detachable DIN / DIN cable. The TH8A shifter
is then connected to the racing wheel's UP (= R1) and DOWN (= L1) paddle shifters.
With this racing wheel, the TH8A shifter's SEQUENTIAL (+ /-) shift plate functions with 100% of
racing games PS3™ that are compatible with the racing wheel.
- Some games enable you to use two TH8A shifters simultaneously:
One TH8A shifter with an H-PATTERN (7+1) shift plate, connected to the PS3™'s USB port™
+ One TH8A shifter with a SEQUENTIAL (+/-) shift plate, connected to the back of the racing wheel
* A list of games for PS3™ that are compatible with the TH8A shifter is available here:
http://ts.thrustmaster.com (in the 'Playstation / Wheel / TH8A Shifter' section). This list
is updated regularly.
* On PS3™ systems, we recommend that you do not use a USB hub when connecting
the racing wheel or TH8A shifter to the games console; connect the device directly to
the PS3™'s USB ports.
* Some games require that you install the latest available updates for the TH8A shifter
to function correctly (your games console must be connected to the internet).

So, no H Shifter unless you conect it directly to a USB and the game supports MUlty USB Control devices. Sorry.

I used to love the Forza games on the Xbox consoles but since trying Apex and Horizon on the PC and having the current racing sims of rF2, AC, RRE3 etc already installed, it's very hard for me to consider this title.
These devs are talking rubbish with, 'we've learned a lot about the PC market' it's pure advertising BS.
It sounds like they don't use race Sims on PC and haven't even tried them to see what the competition is like or what the most basic required features are?
They're so blinkered to the world that they think console only, Forza only, and haven't tried any of the other racing games?
It's just plain weird and the only thing I am interested in is to try the demo to put this curiosity to bed...

You said "dont buy " than is question about VR...And You dont know what I mean. I mean..If I go to the shop, see any products what innteresting me but...after sepc reading I said..no, i dont buy...Soooo....I have no mere question about this product beacouse like I said - I dont buy, so it's nothing more what interest me in this product. One thing what gives fail is enough to not buy...Like...Automatic or manual shifter. If I want manual but its only automatic in this model I DONT BUY IT - FINISH, no question about anything else... I search something else, right choice for me, this what i need. No...you came to the shop for an apple...than you said..mmmm...its too red...no i dont buy it...after 20 sec. ...Ou...is this apple sweet or not?

Mod edit **** means the word is not allowed so please change it, and it may be better to take 5 mins before posting to make sure it all read ok..
To all, the use of any form of swear word even short hand versions are not allowed so please bare this in mind for future posts.

If Turn !0 release Forza 7 with good physics, good FFB communication through the wheel, the ability to adjust FOV and seat position, triple screen support and not the stretched version they gave us with Apex but the same as given to us on the old Eggbox 360 from Forza 3 and 4 then for me this be an instant buy.
if they want to survive the PC market then its of my opinion that they need to start ticking boxes.
i loved playing Forza 4 on the 360 with my first wheel (CSR) from Fanatec, but i was also quickly drawn to building my Sim racing PC and since i've not touched consoles.
Sure we all hope that this will be a success, but I'm thinking the only real game/sim that it'll compete against is PC2.

ps.....VR support would also be a good thing :)
