FMOD and frame rates

According to my render stats, FMOD is killing my frame rates down to under 30fps every time it hits 4%.
I assume that FMOD is an audio thing...is there a fix for this prob or a way to turn FMOD off or whatever.
Any help appreciated.

Ok guys...I read that FMOD is the sound engine so it cat be turned off

...but the prob still persists (especially in replays) FMOD will go to 4% usuage and my frame rates drop to under 30 (according to renderstats) whereas normally they are averaging over 70 (triple monitors) but I have them capped at 60.
Its worst on replays but also at the start of races too it will drop quite badly and I get a big stutter at the start of every race...My graphics card is a GTX1060.
