Well it's a good way to grow the audience, Channel 5 must have given up, they did a pretty good job but the beeb will draw a bigger crowd.
"So what do we do now no-one can watch F1? untapped market here!"
"Well, these *look* roughly the same, the punters won't really know the difference..."

If Ch5 - which presumably has less overhead - can't make it work, why is it going to work on the Beeb? are we at the point where streaming media is the way forward for individual series? the BTCC whole day broadcast on ITV4 seems to work, but I guess that is not a solution for everything.
