During the development progress over the last 6 weeks, most the parts we studied under a CFD environment and we kept running test after test until we was happy with the shape of the chassis and the airflow was channeled where we wanted it to flow and where we would expect to see it on the chassis which is quite complex the shape.

We will run some more tests soon in CFD to see how she currently is but pleased with the basic chassis shape we made, so far 50+CFD tests was run during the project development.

Well still quite some work left here guys in a short period of time as we all know,
the project was started during the xmas and new year period with new wheels and brake systems,
and slowly brought the project to what we have here today,
the car is still raw with turbosmooth currently we will show the rest of the devepments,
but please kindly no requests we just want to get on with the work with the direction we have. :)

Currently all 4 corners have new wheels, new updated tyre geometry me and David finally nailed these puppies we are very very pleased with these tyres on this 2019 car the shape is perfect,
and all brake temp sensors on the calipers, currently all working ingame.

Rear wing we are still developing so I imagine the progress will be seen during these next days the last dev on the rear wings,
currently there is HD-MD and soon to be made LD, which will all be able to be chosen inside the setup menus ingame, quite complex because its 3x animations including all the drs systems and major settings, but works so far the 2 we made quite nice ingame currently.

Last night was working in this area the barge board system and the nose the teddy-cape,
so today will still be working in this area of the chassis, then the rear wing in maybe 1-2 days lets see.

So its back to work on this one, like I mentioned above, please no requests of any shape of the car,
all constructive feedback is welcome and will be duly noted and taken onboard,
we just want to complete the task we have in hand and finish the project by the end of the month so 12 days, hang tight... :p

Well I made this early in the 2018 project, later in the build I removed it,
but it always bothered me when looking at the car, I liked the design aspect of the intake,
so anyways I have added it back to the project and it will stay, just looks nasty. :D

Your models are great, physics is very compelling but I fail to get that excited about another iteration of a contemporary F1 car.
Is this gonna be much different from the 2017 and 2018 versions?

The difference between 2017 and 2018 was quite big. I expect this one to be closer to 2018 looking at the regulation changes. Still, I think it's great to be able to compare the subtle differences between years in F1 by driving them yourself.

Well it will look and drive totally different I imagine, the 2 cars 2018 and 19 cant really be compared,
well not for me anyways, you can decide what you want for yourself,
I think its really exciting project I love making these cars and designing them. :)

Hoped those big ugly Merc camera pods would have disappeard for 2019 or be optional. They look somewhat silly and are just unelegant, plus you can't put a decent logo there.

And i'm not an fan of the machinegun or GoPro mounting device in the airintake either. Just too much mass too high in the car, bad for CoG.

I weighed it this morning weighs 1.136kg, then was comparing the old one which weighed around 796gm, so I dont think it will effect the cars performance too much,
and its not a GoPro mount, it channels air to different parts of the engine for cooling,
the central hole has a tube which does down by the turbo. ;)

Regarding the cameras there placeholders most likely I will be making new ones and animated like the Formula 2000 nose cams. :)

Is this going to be more based off of a particular car or will the model be more of a generic one? Also, will there be more torque so you can use higher gears like the drivers do? I felt that the FH2018 was a bit lacking on low end torque, and would love to see that improved. Either way, the work you and the rest of the team does is fantastic, and I'm definitely gonna be buying it as soon as it's released.

This one will be 999BHP the 2018 was 980BHP, so 1000Ish

regarding the styling the RSS Hybrids are all custom build and do not replicate any other car on the grid,
all custom built from the rules. :)

Oh boy, this car will be awesome. :geek:

I'm really glad that the FH19 has the Merc style nose cone, it's only fair since the FH18 had the RB/Ferrari style nose. Also it looks much better.

The mirror mounting & placement is just a placeholder I guess?
It would be the perfect opportunity for some funky mounting solutions just like some of the real cars!

I think both noses would be ideal, if they could change by animation like the rear wings, but would probably be more complex.
