Have you ever dreamed of re-writing F1 history ? Welcome to the new Formula Legacy Manager game. In this game you're playing a Team Manager/Director who will try to leave his mark on his Team and on this sport. You setup your car, you sign your drivers and you try to win races and championship during several years or decades.

Joining the game
There are currently No place available as a Team Manager.
Waiting List : @Sasha Jednak

Rules & Game Process :
The races in this game are run 3 or 4 at a time.
Between each round, a Market will be open for 48h to let you make Buys that upgrade your car. Notice that you're not obliged to buy anything, you can also save your PP (see Build your car section below). It simply means that they will stay in your Reserve which is basically your PP bank account.
Once the deadline has passed or everybody have sent me their buys (or save) in PM, the next round of races will happen.
At the end of each season, a driver market will be open for 48h to let you sign a driver if you need to (see Drivers' Signings section below).
Once the deadline has passed or everybody have sent me their wish-lists in PM, a new regular upgrade Market will be open for 48h to let your build your car for the upcoming season (see Build your car section below).
Every season, each manager will have to build his new car. You will all start from scratch with a minimum amount of pace (determined by your Tier, see Tier System).
The pace of your car in this game is calculated in « Pace Points » (PP), the more you have, the faster you'll be.
Aerodynamics & Engine are the two parts that you can upgrade to set your car's pace.
You'll be able to spend the amount of PP you want from your Reserve during every Market of this game.
However, you won't be able to spend more than 9PP on one part during a Market.
Last but not least, as said previously, you can also save your PP but there's a limit. The rule is that you won't be able to carry over more than 10 PP in your Reserve. Every PP saved above will be destroyed.
When you'll have to build your car, you will be able to look at the upcoming Season Calendar which indicates you the style of every track.
Indeed, tracks can be either Aer. or Eng. which means that your pace on an Aer. track will be 80% related to your Aerodynamics PP and 20% to your Engine PP... and vice versa.
You will also be able to spend your PP in Reliability. It is a percentage that determines how often your car should finish a race.
You will all start with 40% of reliability and every PP spend increases it by 5%. The maximum amount of Reliability a car can have is 85%.
However, the reliability of your car does not depend only on your Reliability percentage. Indeed, for each driver, you shall add the amount of seasons he's been racing for to get the actual percentage.
For example, a driver during his 7th season on a 65% Reliable car has actually 65+6=71% chance of finishing a race.
Notice that every driver beyond 10 seasons of F1 racing will be considered as in his 11th season (so 10% max).
In order to upgrade your car every Market, you'll need to get some additional PP. The way to do it is to pick your Sponsor.
You have to pick it once and it will be set for the whole season. Depending on your current Tier, you will get a PP reward, every race, if at least one of your car finishes at the position you chose.
This reward will directly goes to your Reserve.

Notice that you're able to change your sponsor at every moment by wasting 3PP from your Reserve. If you don't have enough or any, you will just get a negative amount of PP.
The game is built to have 11 teams, no less, no more. Each team will be assigned to a Tier that will give them a base amount of PP.
P0KDXyW.png

We’ll always have three teams in Tier 1, three teams in Tier 2 , three teams in Tier 3 and only two teams in Tier 4.
After each season, the best Tier 2 team will be promoted to Tier 1 and the worst Tier 1 team relegated to Tier 2. Same things happens for the other Tiers.
This way you can easily understand why there’s only two Tier 4 teams as a third team couldn't be relegated.
The game is built around Tier battles. If you win your Tier battle, your car will be faster next season. If you loose it, your car will be slower.. and as you are three teams per Tier, one team will just stay in its Tier.
Based on the order of the last season Standings, you'll be able to sign the available driver you want for 2 or 4 years. Every team that need to sign a driver will have 48h to send me a wish-list.
The amount of drivers requested on the wish-list depends on your position in the signing process order. For example, Ferrari 1st, McLaren 4th and Williams 8th (last year standings) need to sign a driver. Williams will have to send me a 3 drivers wish-list to make sure they'll sign someone. If every driver on your wish-list has already been signed, then you'll have to skip your turn and sign someone who is still available. Notice that if you want to sign a Rookie driver, the signing process order is reversed which means that the last team in the last year Standings is #1 for a rookie signing. To be sure to sign someone, just provide me a wish-list with drivers (rookie or not) ranked the way you want and you’ll get the best pick that I could give you.

You are also able to buy someone else's driver against a certain amount of PP (up to 10PP). You will have 24h during off-season to make the trade official so I advise you to negotiate directly with the current driver's owner before the season ends. You are allowed to buy a driver even if you don't have the enough PP in reserve. You'll just get a negative reserve PP. The driver's contract will be extended by 1 or 2 year, depending on your other driver's contrat.

Last thing, you can fire one of your driver (if you have another driver still contracted) by wasting 3PP. If you don't have enough PP in reserve, same rules applies, you'll just get a negative reserve PP.
Each driver has a specific pace based on his real skills during his F1 career. However, you will never know the exact pace of any driver but I provide you their rating. Here is a table that shows their Pace points according to their relative rating.

Notice that drivers ratings grow and decline through time. Every driver has a peak, also based on his real F1 career, but I'll never tell you exactly when.

At last, each of your driver's pace also provides you a PP bonus for the upcoming year. The worst he is, the more PP you'll get.

There is also a little bet game, before every season, on « Who will be the next champion ? » to get you a Pace bonus for the upcoming year.
+2PP if the team you pick wins the championship
+3PP if the driver you pick wins the championship
+5PP if both win the championship

What a trash performance by Amon, losing to a Lotus that's 5PP slower lol.

But Clark, man, he keeps on impressing even at the age of 34!

Wrong
Lotus on Aero tracks = 23.8PP
March on Aero tracks = 25.4PP
Hm, I always seem to forget about 20% engine. Could have a formula next to these performances just as a reminder :p
I guess that only solidifies Clark's exceptional performance
