Benetton Formula, Ltd., has reached a deal with Lotus, which will see Ivan Capelli driving for the team for the next three seasons. The team would also like to announce the departure of Nelson Piquet, who will now drive for Lotus. The deal was also accompanied by a one-time payment to Benetton of $1000. We are grateful for the time Nelson had driven for us, for his championship efforts, and helping the team move up in the ranks of historic Formula One teams. A team wont change unless the succesd has gone away. I managed to keep ATS alive for longer than they should but last season it was time to go. Unsuccessfull
