I got the patch here in the US last month for this game, the G25 ffb works, but is too strong for me and I cannot find a setting to lower it.

US servers shut down 1 May this year. European servers are active as far as I understand. Those americans that liked F1 enough got the PAL version instead since it is area free and continued playing online that way.

Double Yarrg, Sony removed yet another feature.. I doubt they would let us set up a public clone server.
