FPS stuck at 35 - 40?

I got on Assetto Corsa today, noticing a massive FPS drop: I usually get 120FPS (where i capped my game) but now i only have 35 - 40 FPS. The weird thing is, when i look back the framerate goes back up to 120.
It does not have to do with the graphics as changing them does not do anything.

I didn't, but i updated the NVIDIA drivers to 516.59, pretty sure that's the problem

I’d look in nvidia control panel and check it’s not messed with the max frame rate, i remember it doing it to me a few updates back and set a default cap of 30 in there

Then they wouldn't go up when looking back or in 1st person...
