It is with great sadness that we report the passing of former Williams Racing founder Frank Williams. Sir Frank passed way at the age of 79.

Sad news, a giant in F1 history who despite his health issues ran a successful team and had the respect of the paddock.
Sad indeed, F1 will be poorer for his passing

Frank was unique and fiercely competitive.
Not known for smiling, my favourite footage of Sir Frank was when he was given a spin in his Espace F1. The grin was from ear to ear, he couldn't wipe it off. Fantastic.

Verry sad. He must of been in poor health he always looked that way in later years. When he stopped going to the track becuse of tranportation, isues that was his way of slowing down out of the public eye. The team where sold to Dolton Capital partners and they have improved drastically. It will always be considered Frank's team no mater who runs it. The name should chainge but there will be numbers and stats under the Williams name that you cant aford to loose.
