We have a new car for you guys to try out
the Lotus 2 Eleven GT4
While closely resembling its tamer brother at first glance, several obvious changes have been made to the 2-Eleven’s appearance, including aggressive aerodynamic enhancements, the addition of a tonneau cover and subsequent passenger seat deletion, a full roll cage, and an FIA-compliant carbon-fiber racing seat.
By tweaking the intake and exhaust systems, Lotus has managed to squeeze 266 horsepower and 182 lb-ft of torque out of the supercharged Toyota inline-four—some 14 horsepower and 4 lb-ft more than the 2-Eleven. Additionally, the GT4 Supersport has been fitted with a six-speed sequential gearbox, allowing for lightning-fast shifts without requiring any throttle lift from the driver—an important time-saver in any race application.

Wait? What is this?
For this event you need absolutely nothing special. A copy of Assetto Corsa, keyboard, console controller, or steering wheel it's all fine. Today we are going to focus on getting you on the online track (for the first time) and giving you a great experience and making you a better driver.

Make sure to be on time for the extended practice session and have teamspeak installed and be with us for the full length of the event. This is the longest session of almost an hour to get familiar with the car and the track. That's right, you don't need to practice offline first. You can come by fully unprepared

After practice we skip to qualification to decide the racing order and do a short fun race of only 30 minutes so everybody can return to their wives, girlfriends, mom in time.

A message to all Drivers

If you run off track, you have to check to see that its clear before you re enter the track, Do not just keep the gas pinned and pull back on track.
When entering the track from the pits Stay off the racing line until you are up to speed, do not race on your out lap. let other drivers by.
on re-entering the track stay off the racing line until you are up to race speed
and do not block any fast approaching car, you have made the mistake by going off remember, so let them by cleanly

Golden Rule
  1. Be 100% sure it's not his fault and just carry on like nothing happened and take the risk of being banned for 30 days.
  2. Play on the safe side and wait for the affected drivers, knowing 100% sure you will not get a ban.
Track limits
  1. No more than 2 wheels over the white/yellow line without a lift of the gas please.
You will be penalized if you break our rulesFree slot

Throwing this out there.....

Mugello is one of my favourite tracks, and some of the Lotus's (Lotii??) are my favourite cars to hotlap around it. Consequently, I really wanted this to give this event a go.

Unfortunately, I am really struggling with the 2-11 GT4, I just can't get it to go. After a good number of sessions & laps I'm not much quicker than the MX5 cup. Just for a check - I tried an Evora GTC and put a lap time in about where I'd expect.

It might be a driving style clash I guess, or possibly a rare iffy AC default setup, anyone experiencing similar?

Im also not much quicker than the Mazda mx cup car, it may be a GT4 car but it is slow compassion to the Porsche gt4 for example.

and its defiantly a car that is slow in fast out in the corners..

I also find it a real slippery eel of a car (in default setup at any rate), partly to do I guess with the semi-slicks? The MX5 Cup uses slicks so that should account for some of it.
I'm developing a kind of love/hate relationship with the thing - on one hand the sliding around can be fun, but on the other it just refuses to bite when you want it to and washes out too easily. As @Rupe Wilson mentioned, slow in fast out seems like the way to go. I found with no ABS it was a disaster so that definitely stays on. I'm still on the fence about TC - of the 3 different TC settings, I think 1 is the strongest :O_o: but at least there are some options there.
