So they completly removed the guys who always checked the sidepots or rather let them stabalize the car now.

I think that unless telemetry shows that there could be a blockage, they won't check the sidepods anymore. They don't have time. If they need to clean them those two will be handling that task. That leaves two people on their feet, there are a lot of kneeling down folks there, if there happens something odd, those two are like reserves. That' what i now think, if all goes well they help balance the car.

Also the left side extra guy seem to look into the cockpit, could it be that he's checking that everything looks allright there too? Sort of like general glance.
