G-sync and v-sync settings

Hi, I have a sasmung 49 inch monitor with freesync and a nvidia geforce card. I have Gsync enabled for this monitor to avoid screen tearing. I wonder whether I should also enable v-sync in my nvidia control panel/and ingame software and/or cap the framerate below the refresh rate of my monitor (144 fps)? Thanks for your advice!

Hi, I have this monitor: Samsung 49" Odyssey LC49RG90SSU, 120Hz and interested in this topic, so i'm subscribing :) Here's something to read on the subject, while we're waiting for the gurus to chime in:

EDIT: Just checked my settings and they're basically as adviced in the document linked above.

- nvidia control panel -> manage 3d settings -> vertical sync -> on
- in-game -> vertical sync -> off
- a 3 fps frame limit below display max refresh rate (in my case capped to 97fps since i use the display in 100Hz mode)

I haven't noticed any screen tearing issues with the above settings.
