DiRT Rally G25 issues

Hi, looking for any assistance as the Codemasters Forums are about as much use as a chocolate tea pot!
I have a G25 and upon re installing Dirt Rally the other day i cannot play with the wheel and pedals. I used to before (about a year ago) when i had it installed with the same wheel, no problem.
The game detects the wheel, i can calibrate and assign buttons etc. but when the stage starts nothing works except the buttons on the shifter.
No wheel movement, no pedals working... nothing.

Any one any ideas?

maybe related to the overall issue of g25 g27 always being wrongly detected after windows10 update? have you used the wheel in other games recently? has there been a larger windows 10 update?

Use the wheel in AC, pCARS 2, RRRE etc. and no issues with any of them.

Bit annoying as you pay for a game and they break it for you without offering a fix or any help!

Oh and i'm still running Windows 7.

did you play any other game before starting Dirt Rally ? ... i remember there was an issue if you played anything else before or after playing a Codemasters game.

remember that, too. since i usually only manage to do 30min in one game a day and shut the pc down for the night, i forgot all about it. i remember people complaining how they had to reboot pc to get the wheel working again if dirt 04 (or rally?) was not the first game they played that day.
