G25 throttle twitching

Might be getting old the old thing.

Noticed it the other day on a boost gauge of all things in Dirt Rally, saw the needle fluttering a little.

Got the old profiler out and sadly at full throttle there seems to be a dodgy connection as it will keep 100%most of time but it will flutter slightly too intermittently. Even on gradual applicaiotns it is slightly fluttery, not awful but enough.

All the signs of a connection issue. I guess.

Cables are all in good nick, thought it might be a slightly pulled connector but no. Put them all in fully and still doing it.

What about the other end, the pedal set, are there any issues there it could be?

The potentiometer is likely dirty after all these years (is the G25 a decade old now?!?). Disassemble and blow it out. The workaround is to recalibrate the pedals so the fluttery bit is out of range.

Managed to fix the potentiometer actually, bit of a ballache, but actually very simple. Was very mucky and the problem is now fixed

Hardest bit was getting the pedal base back onto the frame I am using, the basic frames are not very good with dealing with pedal bases it seems!
