G27 upgrade in 2018

Hi everyone!

I’m fairly new to the sim racing community! I have played different arcade racing games and mobile games growing up such as F1 and Forza Horizon 2 on Xbox; along with mobile games such as Real Racing 3 (Don’t judge, It’s good for passing time). I decided that I wanted to take it More seriously, so I bought a second hand G27 from my dads boss and bought a few games such as PC/PC2/AC/F12016. I understand the basic racing lines and racing strategies from my previous experience, but I am still learning. I’d love to upgrade my wheel to something with an F1 style Rim/wheel for no more than £500 (approximately $650) but cannot seem to find anything. I love the look of Fanatec stuff but it seems quite a bit higher than my budget. Has anyone got any recommendations?

Thrustmaster TS-PC?
It can be had for around £500 and has a F1 style wheel and is a very good set up by all accounts.
It doesn't come with pedals though.

Or you could get the Fanatec CSL Elite base and Maclaren Wheel.
The base is 320 euro and the wheel 230, so converted into £ is £490
Again, it doesn't come with pedals though.

You could use your G27 pedals until you can afford to upgrade them too.
