Game corrupt?

Hi all,

I downloaded a few mods and installed them after I made a back up of the original F1 2012 folder.
Now, startup is fine but when the game loads to go to the race weekend I get kicked out to the desktop.
So I copied the original folder back to the modified folder but I keep having this issue.

'the steam servers are too busy to handle your request for F1 2012. Error code (41)'

Anybody knows how to proceed?

update 4 has just come out if you have it through steam it may be interfering with your mods

Yes, but the game is not working even with the old specs...
I downloaded the latest drivers for my Geforce GTX670 but the issue still exists.

Any mods installed for HIGH LOD or stuff? Or try what Tom Endres posted in the Hgh LOD thread for steam users:

#Right-click on the game in your Steam library -> Properties -> Local Files -> Verify Game Cache. That will replace modified files with the original ones, basically creating a fresh installation.

It's not caused by the mods you've installed.

You are not the only one.

There are several other players who cannot start the game.

I had no chance to play this game today, too.

It's probably Steam's (server) or Codemasters' fault (patch #3 & #4).

"Verify Game Cache" does not fix this problem.
