F1 2010 Games not Saving

I uninstalled and reinstalled the game this weekend due to a sound issue. Prior to uninstalling, the races in the career mode were being saved. Now I went into the game thinking I would be at Melbourne as I just completed the race at Bahrain and it was the long race at 50%. I sure don't want to do that again. Any ideas what I need to do to get it to save. I am not patched. I was not patched prior either.
