Oh it's weird alright. Out in the greater world it's considered extremely weird! However, in the context of this sad lot it's so normal that it's considered a basic requirement to join the club.

Kunos have scanned the old abandoned oval and said they would make a track out of it I believe.

Not sure why one would scan the surface of a deteriorated race track as that misses the whole point of scanning imo. Unless they want us to virtually die driving in holes, obstacles, empty beer cans and what more.
