Cars getting the old 'dirty windshield' mod to work

Hello all,

So I've been trying to get the dirty windshield mod

to work with some new cars but so far only got it to work with one.
The Ferrari f430 Scuderia from AssettoDrive with nice results
when changing the shadow resolution to 512x512 and CSP 'smart shadows'
opacity to 85%.

all other cars produce this 'double vision' effect :

I have been trying to remove the double effect in 3DSimed changing the glass material textures
dds to those of the F430 but I can't seem to get rid of the effect.

Glad with any pointers someone may have

greetings

CSP has a setting to eliminate dirt/glare from the interior windows since a lot of people don't like it, it's in the WindscreenFX section. You probably need to disable that whole section if you want stuff to behave like it did without csp.

Thank you for the reply.. I disabled the section but it didn't make the 'double' go away. It must have something to do with the several materials applied to the window objects.. I even transferred the window object of the F430 to another car to no avail. I'll keep looking.. thanks!

I've found the culprit.. it indeed was a setting in in CSP.
Disable 'Accessible color buffer' in 'graphic adjustments' and the double effect is gone.
I'm now going to try to edit the mod a bit further because I think there is great potential here.
Of course all credit to user AlfaGunner for his indeed brilliant mod.

greetings
