Glock's final lap at Interlagos, 2008

I'd never seen this before, and I'd always wondered what happened to him.

If I remember correctly, going from the commentators on UK TV, he started the final lap 15 seconds ahead of Hamilton and had roughly matched his laptime on the previous lap.

But, very famously, was overtaken on the final corner.

Well the answer, amazingly, is nothing much. It just got too wet. He didn't spin, he didn't go off track, he just ran out of grip.

Sorry if people have seen this before, I never had.

The video definitely disproves the conspiracy theorists who said he let Hamilton through to win the championship. He is clearly driving as fast as he can go with no grip, because there are moments he almost crashes a lot.

He's short shifting so much that you only see the rev LED indicators on his steering wheel light up on the straight after the Senna S, at the start of the lap.

You don't see them again for the rest of the lap.
