Williams locks out front row
Impressive performance by the Williams team, especially Lesley Buurlage who took pole, to secure the first row for the race. Old Wolf got close in third, while teammate Ancevski missed out on the top 6 with 8th position. Hunsley took 4th ahead of Poirier and Rautavaara. A strong lap by Martins put him in 7th place, while teammate Black found himself at the back end of the field. Diehl and winner of the previous race Lintner complete the top 10. An all McLaren 6th row, their strong race pace might see them snatching some points. Same goes for Laad, who starts behind them alongside Goddard.
