No surprises in quali
Ben Utzer once more set the fastest lap in the qualifying, beating Mane Goddard by about 1 tenth. Those two really dominated the session, with 3rd placed Martins almost half a second slower than his teammate. Engberink and Graham put their Jordans in 4th and 5th. A surprise in 6th position, Oorjit Mishra with one superb lap to get his Williams this far up the field. Rinneaho got 7th, clearly beaten by his teammate this time round. Aaron Reed took 8th, behind him Buurlage and Ancevski.

Goddard closes in as Utzer retires
Mane Goddard took the win at the Belgian GP, becoming the third driver who one the race more than once. He profited from the late retirements of both Graham and Utzer, which handed him the lead of the race. Second came Rui Martins, who finally was able to enjoy a race without any kind of issues. Ancevski took the final podium spot with a nice pass on Buurlage with 2 laps to go in the race.
Buurlage finished 4th, some 10 seconds ahead of Kederer in 5th. Rinneaho took 6th after a fantastic recovery drive. A mistake after his 1st stop had send him to the end of the field. Sigoulakis in 7th, his 3rd consecutive points results, and also the first time this season that both Ferraris finished in the points. Lintner finished in 8th, just ahed of teammate Reed.
Pole setter Ben Utzer had led the race in the opening laps, after having retaken it from Goddard with a pass in Busstop at the end of lap 2. Shortly after his first stop a mistake put him down to 15th place. He fought back to 2nd, but after his final stop he again made a mistake, this time ending his race. Graham, who had led the race for many laps, retired with an engine failure right after his last stop, in the same lap as Utzer. Teammate Engberink suffered a similar fate, retiring early in the race with a loose wheel.

FIA Press Conference
@Mane Goddard: Lucky in the end with the retirements of Graham and Utzer. Do you think you could've kept them behind if they hadn't run in troubles?
@Rui F. Martins: You must be quite relieved that you finally had a race without any problems?
@Milos: You keep the results coming, yet reliability still seems to be an issue. Any words on that?
